The Federal Urdu University spokesman, while terming the news item that appeared about the Acting Vice Chancellor in a section of press as misleading, stated that VC was discharging duties according to Senate’s directions. The spokesman said that the rumours were being disseminating by those elements who had long remained involved in financial misappropriations, nepotism, promotions via illegal means, usurpation of massive sums via inexplicable allowances. He further said that in the recent report of Auditor General a number of paragraphs had been included against these people and action had been suggested against them. The spokesman stated that present administration of Federal Urdu University would continue endeavoring to ensure educational and financial discipline in the institution and carry on the process against those people indicated in the report sans yielding to any pressure.
