Friendship prevails as Pak-China friendly cricket match ends in triumph

The spirit of friendship prevailed in the Pak-China Friendly Cricket Match held at the LCCA Ground on Wednesday, where Pak-China Green emerged victorious over Pak-China Red by 9 wickets.

This historic event marked a new chapter in years old Sino-Pak relationship, coinciding with the return of cricket in the Hangzhou Asian Games in China.

The Pak-China Friendship Cricket Match, which enthralled cricket fans, especially those in Lahore, was organized in collaboration with the Chinese Consulate Lahore and the Institute of International Relations and Media Research (IIRMR). Luo Jianxue captained the Pak-China Cricket Team Red, while Yasir Habib Khan led the Pak-China Cricket Team Green.

Distinguished guests included Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of the PCB Management Committee, and Cao Ke, the Acting Consul General of China in Lahore. Notable figures from the cricketing world, such as Misbah ul Haq, Nadeem Khan, and Junaid Zia, also graced the occasion, alongside Atif Rana and Sameen Rana, owners of Lahore Qalandars.

Zaka Ashraf commended the initiative taken by IIRMR, expressing Pakistan’s readiness to support the Chinese national cricket team with top-notch facilities and coaching.

Cao Ke highlighted the shared love for cricket between China and Pakistan, expressing hope that Pakistan would emerge victorious in the Asian Games. He emphasized how cricket is bridging cultures and bringing people together.

China’s commitment to cricket was evident in its efforts to create new cricket infrastructure for the Hangzhou Asian Games, reflecting its dedication to the sport’s growth and promotion.

The historic friendly T-10 match between China and Pakistan symbolized the deepening bonds and friendship between the two nations. It coincided with China’s National Day and the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou, emphasizing the importance of sports in fostering unity and cooperation among Asian nations.

IIRMR Chairman Muhammad Mehdi affirmed the institute’s dedication to strengthening Pak-China relations, citing the Pak-China friendly Cricket match as a testament to the warm relations between the two countries.
