Four killed in Kharan, Panjgur blasts

Two Levies and police personnel were martyred in Balochistan’s Kharan. The district’s deputy commissioner, Munir Ahmed Soomro, told media that the incident occurred when a Levies vehicle hit a landmine en route to a polling station. The official said seven security personnel were injured in the incident.

Those in critical condition have been moved to Quetta, DC Soomro added. Meanwhile, at least two children were killed in a blast which occurred near a polling station Washbood Panjgur. According to police officials, the polling was stopped at the Government High School Malik Abad polling station after the blast. Furthermore, the police spokesperson said that security personnel have been summoned to the spot of the incident.

Meanwhile, three rockets were fired on polling stations in district Kohlu of Balochistan on Thursday but no loss was reported. Levies sources said that three rockets fired from unknown destination landed near polling stations in Barelly area of district Kohlu and exploded. However, no casuality or property damage was reported in the rockets attack. The security forces cordoned off the area after the rockets attack and conducted search operation.
