A powerful explosion targeting the law enforcers in Lakki Marwat district on Sunday left four Policemen including Station House Officer (SHO) seriously wounded. The condition of the two cops has been described as precarious.
“At least four policemen, including Station Housing Officer (SHO), were injured when a police vehicle in which they were travelling in was targeted by a bomb near Saeed Khel area of Lakki Marwat on Sunday”. Police officials said.
The unknown militants, as the reports reaching here and confirmed by the Police authorities said, had planted an Improvised Explosives Device (IED) on the roadside to target the armored vehicle of the Saeed Khel police station. While the powerful blast completely destroyed the Police vehicle, the cops on board including the Station House Officer of Saeed Khel Police station sustained serious wounds.
The law enforcers and the rescue teams rushed to the site of the blast and shifted the victims to the hospital where the medics described the condition of two men in uniform as critical. A case was registered against the unknown terrorists and the Police has started probe into the incident. The security forces are also reported to have kicked off operation in the region to hunt those responsible for the Sunday’s blast.
