In the Indian state of Gujarat, the Anti-Terrorism Squad of the police has arrested five youth, including four Kashmiris and a woman.
The state police claimed to have received information that three ‘militants’ were planning to move outside India via Gujarat and during the op-eration to stop them, four have been arrested
The police said that for the past several days, the special team of Gujarat ATS was working in Porbandar and adjoining areas and the police arrested five persons, including a woman during their operation.
ATS of Gujarat Police claimed to have arrested three Kashmir youth identified as Ubaid Nazir, Hanan Hayat Shawl & Mohammad Hazim Shah.
According to the police, two more accused were arrested on their information, including Samira Bano of Surat and Zubair Ahmed Munshi of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. ATS said these four were being transported by sea from Iran to Afghanistan to join the extremist organization Islamic State Khorasan.—KMS
