The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Cell on Friday Karachi arrested a human trafficker who was extorting money from citizens under the guise of employment abroad.
The FIA spokesperson said that the accused was identified as Mansoor Ali and was arrested from the PECHS area of Karachi. Several passports were recovered from the accused’s possession.
He said that the accused was involved in obtaining passports from unlicensed citizens and extorting lakhs of rupees from them in the name of employment abroad. Several forms, check books, stamps and other travel documents were also recovered from the accused.
The accused has been arrested and investigation has been started. Raids are being conducted to arrest the other accused.
