Karachi university student named Laraib lost his life in Karachi’s Korangi area after resisting a robbery attempt on Monday night. The incident occurred in the Allah Wala Town neighborhood, where Laraib was fatally shot by robbers.
According to police reports, Laraib was confronted by two assailants while returning home from a gym. Despite his resistance, one of the suspects fired a bullet, striking Laraib near his eye, resulting in his demise. Investigators recovered a 30-bore pistol’s empty shell from the crime scene, and notably, no mobile phone was found near the victim.
The victim’s father, Muhammad Hussain, revealed that Laraib was engaged and had plans for marriage in 2025. Additionally, he mentioned that Laraib was working on writing a book, and its data was stored in his cellphone, leading him to resist the robbery.
As investigations continue into this heartbreaking incident, the community mourns the loss of a promising young student, highlighting the ongoing challenges of security and safety in urban areas like Karachi.
