The Omair-Sana Foundation (OSF) organised a grand blood donation event the other day to promote a trend of blood donation and provision of blood to children suffering from Thalassemia in the country.
The event was held here at the Expo Centre, which was attended by a large number of people from all walks of life to donate blood for the children.
The grand event opened with the blood donation by Turkish actor Celal Al aka Abdur Rehman of the Dirilis: Ertugrul.

Speaking to the media, Turkish actor Celal Al aka Abdur Rehman appreciating the Omair-Sana Foundation said that it was making efforts to eradicate Thalassemia from Pakistan. “I am donating blood again to encourage youth to donate blood.
Previously, I donated blood in January during my visit to Pakistan,” he added. Serving the suffering humanity is the biggest good deed.
My blood donation will not only promote the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Turkey but it would also encourage others to come forward and donate blood, Abdur Rehman said.
TolgaUçak, the Turkish consulate general in Karachi, said that such events would further promote bilateral relations between Islamabad and Ankara.
The two countries enjoy brotherly relations that will last forever, he added.
OSF Chairman Dr. Kashif Ansari said that we included Pakistani actors, cricketers and doctors in our journey that was started 20 years ago to eradicate Thalassaemia and to promote volunteer blood donation in the country.
“We have invited Abdur Rehman to Pakistan second time since his presence encourages Pakistanis especially youth to donate blood for the children suffering from Thalassaemia.
He thanked the Turkish star for encouraging youth to donate blood in Pakistan.
