Elahi changes Punjab ministers’ portfolios

Punjab Chief Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi on Monday changed the provincial portfolios of a few ministers.

According to the notification of the new portfolios, the Ministry of Public Prosecution has been withdrawn from Raja Basharat and given to Brig Musaddiq Abbasi. The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has been withdrawn from Law Minister Khurram Virk and given to Raja Basharat besides the Ministry of Environment and Protection.

Further, the primary and secondary healthcare department has been withdrawn from Dr Yasmin Rashid and given to Akhtar Malik. Now, Dr Yasmin Rashid has the charge of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education only. Likewise, the Ministry of Information Technology has been withdrawn from Raja Yasir Humayun and given to Special Assistant to Chief Minister Arsalan Khalid.
