An earthquake hit several parts of Pakistan including Islamabad, Peshawar, and the northwestern region on Wednesday.
The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 5.6 on the Richter scale and the epicentre was somewhere near Hindukush region.
Initial reports suggest no damage from the tremors in the federal capital and other cities. Locals however took to social media to report the earthquake.
US Geological survey suggest that the earthquake took place 43km South of Jurm city of Badakhshan province Afghanistan at estimated depth of 188km.
