Dry weather likely

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Tuesday forecast mainly hot and dry weather likely to prevail over most parts of the country during next 24 hours.
However, partly cloudy weather with chances of light rain-thunderstorm expected at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan, the MET office reported. Rainfall recorded in (mm) during last 24 hours: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Chitral, Kalam, Mirkhani 02, Drosh and Malamjabba 01. Maximum temperature’s recorded (°C): Karachi, Mithi 40°C, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sibbi and Thatta 39°C.
The Met Office forecast hot and dry weather in most parts while cool in central parts with hilly areas of the province during next 24 hours. According to the Met Office, the minimum temperature in Quetta was recorded at 0.0 degree centigrade and -4.0 degree centigrade in Kalat on Tuesday.
Meanwhile however, rain-thunderstorm is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan. Temperature of some major cities recorded this morning: Islamabad sixteen degree centigrade, Lahore twenty-three, Karachi twenty-six, Peshawar eighteen, Quetta seven, Gilgit nine, Murree and Muzaffarabad fifteen degree centigrade.—APP
