Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Monday lamented that the federal government was not giving the due rights of the province which was adding to the financial sufferings of the province thus forcing us to March towards Islamabad to seek our longstanding dues.

Gandapur also hailed the decision of the Islamabad High Court that has suspended the sentences of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan and senior leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the high-profile cipher case and warned that all those responsible for making false cases against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan would be subjected to accountability.

“The net profit of electricity has reached Rs 90 billion, which we are not getting and it is badly affecting our financial position. We all have to raise our voice for this together”. The PTI Chief Minister asked the parliamentarian while addressing the KP assembling session here Monday.

The chief minister emphasized the need for justice and transparency, calling for the Commission’s report to be made public to fix the responsibility on those responsible for playing with the destiny of the nation. “ what an irony that the one who took the name of opening the Hamood ur Rehman Commission report is being called a traitor. He said the nation could not be befooled any longer now and the government to own the past mistakes and avoid making new ones.

The Chief Minister also lambasted the federal government for cutting the education budget and warned of a strong reaction if development projects were halted. “If the federation stops the development project of the province “The reaction will come and then it will come in a proper way”. Gandapur warned.

Gandpur also lauded the sacrifices of the tribal regions and demanded that their resources and rights be duly recognized. He promised that no requests from the merged districts would go unheard, warning that failure to meet their demands would lead to unrest adding the tribes have sacrificed for this country, but their resources are not being given. They played their role in every difficult time, now they have to be given rights,” he asserted.
