DIG East Zone GhulamAzfarMahesar chaired a high-level meeting was held at the East zone office to review security arrangements for Muharram. The meeting included senior police officers from the East Zone, senior Rangers officers, the Deputy Commissioner of Korangi, representatives from the civil administration, AhleTasheih scholars, procession organizers, and scouts. During the meeting, AhleTasheih scholars and procession organizers voiced their security concerns to DIG East Zone. In response, DIG Mahesar directed police officers to prioritize and address these issues promptly.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining continuous 24-hour communication with procession organizers and permit holders for religious gatherings. DIG Mahesar also instructed that a monitoring room be established at the DIG East office to oversee the security arrangements for processions and gatherings around the clock.
