Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) review meeting chaired by Director General Abdul Rasheed Solangi, convened to assess its performance to date. According to the report presented by the authority, a total of 120 approvals or permits have been granted so far for various types of projects, including building plans for commercial constructions, completion plans, town planning, vigilance, and demolition actions, among other cases.

During the meeting, the DG expressed satisfaction with the progress and instructed the authority to carefully review all cases to expedite their resolution. It is important to note that all legal construction approvals and cancellations are contingent upon the verification and permission from the authority established under the directives of the Government of Sindh. This initiative aims to address legal discrepancies in construction-related cases, ensuring fully compliant constructions.

The establishment of this authority is part of the commendable efforts made by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Minister for Local Government Saeed Ghani to provide superior services to citizens and promote the development of numerous industries linked to construction. This process will particularly benefit legal constructions and help permanently eliminate issues caused by illegal and substandard constructions. Moreover, it will alleviate concerns, uncertainties, and doubts surrounding the approval of building plans for residential homes of allottees, investors, builders, developers, and common citizens.

This initiative will allow citizens to benefit from transparent and efficient services while facilitating better opportunities for the growth of the construction industry. The meeting was attended by authority members along with district and departmental directors.
