Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Asif Raza has visited Ramazan Bazaar, on Thursday. He checked prices and quality of essential commodities being sold at different stalls and fair price shops.
He reviewed availability of cheap flour, sugar, vegetables, fruit, meat and other edibles and expressed his satisfaction over quality, price and availability of daily used items in the Ramazan Bazaar.
While talking to journalists and consumers, DC said that rush of people in the Ramazan Bazaar was reflected that people were taking keen interest to purchase essential commodities on cheaper prices than open market. He said that the Punjab government was giving more than Rs. 8 billion subsidy to ensure provision of relief to the fasting people during the holy month of Ramazn.
