Right under the nose of Jhang police and in broad daylight, four robbers broke into a house in the central area of the city within Kotwali police station limits, took the family hostage and looted jewelery and cash worth lakhs of rupees.
The robbers stayed in the house for 45 minutes and looted, while the accused also tortured women during the incident.
According to details, four armed robbers broke into the house in broad daylight in Ghousia area of Kotwali police station and locked the head of the house Haji Sajjad Hussain and the women in a room at gunpoint and started looting the house. Meanwhile, the accused also slapped the women for resisting.
According to the victim, after entering the house, the accused tied him to a chair in the room and continued looting with satisfaction.
He first looted the lower portion of the house and then entered the second floor of the house, broke the lock of the cupboard and took out jewelery and cash.
The victim further said that the accused demanded from us where the money earned from Saudi Arabia is kept. Let it be handed over to us.
While I have been from Saudi Arabia for more than 4 years. The robbers looted 12 tolas of gold jewelery, about Rs 4 lakh in cash and other valuables from the house and fled.
Upon receiving the report of the incident, DSP City Saifullah Bhatti and concerned police officials rushed to the spot. Crime Scene Unit personnel also reached the spot and collected all the evidence.
On this occasion, the police said that the accused would not be pardoned under any circumstances and they would be arrested and brought to justice.
It is also worth mentioning that the scene is a few hundred meters away from the police post Aliabad. A wave of panic ran in the area after the incident.
