CPWB rescues 7-year-old housemaid

The Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) raided and rescued a 7-year-old housemaid from Canal View Society here in the City and shifted her to Samanabad Hospital on Friday.

According to the CP&WB), Housemaid Misbah was allegedly tortured by her owners. The child protection bureau vowed to take stern action against the owners.

CPWB Chairman Sara Khan said that the bureau got a call on its helpline 1121. The Bureau chairperson claimed that iron was used to burn body parts of the 7-year-old maid and tortured marks were visible on her face and head.

Victim Misbah has been provided medical treatment and bureau legal team will provide legal assistance to the victim.

Sarah Ahmed said that the Child Protection Bureau will lodge an FIR against owners.
