A couple was deprived of cash, gold jewelry and valuables in armed robbery. The police on Wednesday said that Muhammad Yasin and his wife were on their way on a motor cycle when two armed and unidentified robbers also on a motor cycle stopped them near Rakh Marakiwal, in the limits of the Cantt police station, and deprived them of gold ornaments worth 75000 rupees, 17000 rupees and a mobile phone and fled away.
Meanwhile thousands of rupees, gold ornaments, two motor cycles and an auto rickshaw was also stolen in four separate hits.
