The coronavirus positivity ratio crashed to under one percent as Pakistan recorded a further slide in Covid-19 fatalities and infections.
According to the statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Tuesday morning, Pakistan has reported 11 more deaths and 400 infections from the coronavirus pandemic during the last 24 hours (Monday).
As per the NCOC data, after the addition of 11 new deaths, the overall toll has now surged to 28,558 whereas the number of total infections now stood at 1,277,560 after adding the fresh 400 cases.
During the last 24 hours (Monday), a total of 42,373 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan whereas the positivity ratio stood at 0.94 percent. The number of patients in critical care was 1,206.
During the last 24 hours (Monday), as many as 277 patients have recovered from the virus whereas the total recoveries stood at 1,226,157. As of Tuesday, the total count of active cases in the country was recorded at 22,845.
As many as 472,213 coronavirus cases have so far been confirmed in Sindh, 441,257 in Punjab, 178,687 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 107,169 in Islamabad, 33,345 in Balochistan, 34,495 in Azad Kashmir and 10,394 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Moreover, 12,954 individuals have lost their lives to the pandemic in Punjab so far, 7,598 in Sindh, 5,774 in KP, 947 in Islamabad, 741 in Azad Kashmir, 358 in Balochistan and 186 in Gilgit Baltistan.
