Contempt notices issued to Railways officials

The Sindh High Court on Tuesday issued contempt of court notices to DS Railway, GM Railway and SSP Railway Police and other railway police officers, saying that contempt of court for obstructing the construction work of Tejori Heights Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
Notices were issued to the officers violating the legal requirements by deploying a heavy contingent of Railway Police and illegally stopping the work of Tejori Heights. Mian Raza Rabbani, a lawyer for Tejori Heights, said in his petition that in defiance of the Sindh High Court’s order of October 23, Pakistan Railways aggressively evicted the staff of Tejori Heights from the booking office and kept the workers in police mobiles for hours.
The court took notice of the contempt of court and summoned the top officials of the railways the next day and directed the Tejori Heights builder to continue the construction work.
