Federal Ombudsman Ijaz Ahmad Qureshi has said that during the last year, the Federal Ombudsman resolved 1 lakh 10 thousand complaints related to government departments and considering the increase in complaints, now the capacity of the institution has been increased to 1 lakh 40 thousand complaints annually, and the number of advisers in the Abbottabad ombudsman office has been increased from one to five.
He expressed these views while addressing Khuli Kuchery at Jalal Baba Auditorium, Abbottabad. Federal Ombudsman Advisor Khawaja Saifur Rahman, Abdul Ghafoor Baig, Muhammad Adnan Khan, Adnan Jadoon and Provincial Ombudsman Kinaiz Sughra were also present with him on this occasion. In the open court, several citizens who have complaints related to various government departments have submitted their complaints to the federal ombudsman Which he assured to solve.
The federal ombudsman said that 14 centers have been established across the country to receive complaints related to 180 government departments of the federation, where 60 advisers, retired from high positions like grade 20/21, receive a simple request and brought the concerned department in front of the questioner. They are responsible for redressal.
