Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed to ensure strict implementation of coronavirus related standard operating procedures (SOPs) throughout province.
The chief minister directed monitoring teams to continue inspection in markets and other public places and take action against any violation as per law.
He said the numbers of coronavirus cases are increasing day by day due to non-implementation of SOPs.
The CM appealed to the people to follow the SOPs because their cooperation is necessary to stop the spread of fourth wave of coronavirus.
The reaction came after Pakistan reported 40 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,039,695. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 23,462.
Meanwhile, parliamentarians and notables met Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in Bassal Sharif area of Jand Tehsil in district Attock on Monday. The CM listened to the problems and assured to resolve them on a priority basis.
The parliamentarians congratulated the CM over PTI’s success in PP-38 and appreciated his vision of development packages for districts’ balanced development.
The CM said that success in PP-38 has proved that the voters have rejected anarchistic politics and there is no substitute to the politics of public service. He advised the opposition to shun negative politics and give priority to the national interest.
“I am visiting different areas and public problems are being resolved at doorsteps of the people,” he maintained.
The CM disclosed that projects worth billions of rupees will be started to develop Attock, adding that the Sehat Insaaf Card program has also been launched in the district.
The government has started different programmes to empower the poor strata of society, he continued and affirmed free treatment facilities to every citizen of Punjab under a universal health coverage programme.
The needy will not be deprived of their treatment now, he added. The PTI government believes in composite development and backward areas will be brought on par with developed cities, the CM announced.
He said the mother and child hospital was being constructed and latest equipment will be provided to DHQ hospital Attock, THQ hospitals in Hazro, Fateh Jang, Hassan Abdaal, Jand and Pindi Gheb.
Meanwhile, the roads repair schemes will also be completed as the district is very close to my heart like other cities, the CM concluded.
Major (R) Tahir Sadiq MNA, provincial ministers – Malik Muhammad Anwar, Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari, MPA Malik Jamshed Altaf, PTI ticket holder Khurram Ali Khan and others were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar went to the shrine of Khawaja Ameer Ahmad Chishti (RA) at Bassal Sharif area of Jand Tehsil. He laid a floral wreath on the grave and offered Fateha.
The CM prayed for national security, public welfare, freedom of oppressed Kashmiris from Indian aggression and the forgiveness of persons who lost their lives due to the coronavirus.
Meanwhile, CM Usman Buzdar expressed a deep sense of sorrow over the death of Rafiq Afghan, Editor-in-Chief Daily Ummat.
In a condolence message, he extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
Meanwhile, CM Usman Buzdar condoled the death of four people due to roof collapse in Faisalabad and directed the administration to provide the best treatment facilities to the injured.
