The month of June has proven to be disastrous for people of Sindh as 904 people infected with the novel coronavirus lost their lives in just one month.The first case of the deadly novel coronavirus was reported on February 26, after which the number of patients increased by every passing day. The coronavirus outbreak killed 8 people in March, 109 in April and 385 in May.The number of deaths from novel coronavirus tripled in June as 904 patients as lost their lives. Medical experts have attributed lifting of coronavirus lockdown ahead of Eid with the increase in deaths during the month of June.A total of 328 people has died who were self-isolating at their homes as the number of people infected with the corona virus in Sindh passes 90,000 mark.
Meanwhile, Sindh reported 2,222 case of the COVID-19 during the past 24-hours while 25 more patients died due to the infection. The province reported an overall tally of 94,528 COVID-19 cases and 1,526 deaths from the infection.
39,837 patients are currently treated for the virus in the province with 623 of them in critical condition and 74 on ventilators.
Karachi that remains worst affected by the COVID-19 reported 770 more cases.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) claimed 93 more lives in the country in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 4,712.
