Cantonment Executive Officer (CEO) Abbottabad Ammara Aamar has ruled out the impression that illicit cutting of trees has been made in the Cantonment area claiming that dry, dilapidated & dangerous trees were chopped down after fulfilling all legal formalities including getting the technical input of Forest department.

“As many as 51 dry & dead trees situated within cantonment limits were planned to cut down after fulfilling all legal formalities including auctioning through publicising it in newspapers.

Briefing to Journalists at her officer here on Monday, Ammara Aamar asked all those involved in propaganda against Cantonment Board to stop the false & fabricated campaign launched for their vested interest.

She told that Divisional forest officer was asked to inspect the dry & dead trees and provide guidance after series of complaints lodged on Citizens portal in which complainant asked to cut down the rotten & dangerous trees to avoid any untoward incident.
