CCPO lauds cops for foolproof Eid security

Capital City Police Chief Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar has lauded performance of the City Police officers and officials for maintenance of peace and providing foolproof security to citizens on Eidul Azha across the provincial metropolis.

Ghulam Mahmood Dogar said the police performed their duty with dedication and ensured best security in the City, especially in the wake of prevailing situation on borders and fourth wave of Corona.

“Effective patrolling was carried out by Dolphin Squad, Police Response Units, Ababeel Force and all other units of the police around important and sensitive places including cattle markets, mosques and other public places.

More than 7,500 police officers and officials were deployed for Eid security including outside mosques, Imambargahs and other sensitive places across the City.

The CCPO said that vehicles and people were thoroughly checked at e-police check-posts at all exit and entry points of the City.

On the other hand, CCPO Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, DIG Security Division Mehboob Rashid, DIG Operations Sajid Kiani, CTO Mutazir Mehdi and other senior officials offered Eid prayer at District Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh.

Additional Inspectors General of Police, RPO Sheikhupura Dr Inam Waheed Khan, DIG Sadiq Ali Dogar, SSP Athar Waheed, SSP Investigations Mansor Aman, SSP IAB Mubasher Makon and other senior ranking retired and in-service police officers and a large number of police officials also offered Eid prayer at the Police Lines.

After Eid prayer, a police contingent presented salute and guard of honor to the Commander City Police Ghulam Mahmood Dogar at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.

DIG Security Mehboob Rashid, DIG Operations Sajid Kiani, CTO Lahore Mutazir Mehdi and other senior officers accompanied him.

On the occasion, the CCPO laid flowers wreath on the Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateh for the police martyrs and all those who laid down their lives in line with the duty.

The CCPO to the media that sacrifice of more than 1,500 martyrs of Punjab Police along with 320 jawans of the City Police would not go in vain.

He said that martyrs are pride of the Punjab Police and their sacrifice is the guiding path for whole police force.
