The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management is organizing the first National Camping Festival at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Cross Route Club International, Bahawalpur.
The purpose of this program is to promote winter tourism in the southern regions of Punjab and especially in Bahawalpur so that people from all over the country turns to the northern regions in summer as well as Bahawalpur and Dera in good weather from November to February.
Nawab palaces and mansions, Derawar forts, Lal Sohanra forests, Uch Sharif shrines, beautiful mosques, Hakra civilization, and delicious food can be enjoyed here.
The one-day National Camping Festival will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2014 at the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of the beautiful Institute of Business Management, Islamia University, Bahawalpur.
More than 150 adventure motorcyclists from across the country will visit Bahawalpur for this National Camping Festival.
These adventure motorcyclists belong to Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Chitral, Abbottabad, Jhelum, Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Mianwali, DG Khan, Muzaffargarh, Multan, Sukkur, Hyderabad, Inner Sindh, Karachi, Quetta and others in the country.
In addition to camping night, the camping festival will also feature vintage car and motorcycle shows, musical shows, and Cholistani cultural shows.
In addition, a double decker bus will be available at Islamia University to take tourists from other cities to Bahawalpur.—PR
