Caretaker Federal Minister for Education Mada Ali Sindhi on Wednesday met a delegation of teachers on daily wages and assured the government would leave no stone unturned in resolving their issues and providing them with best facilities.
Madad Ali Sindhi congratulated the teachers on the development made earlier in the day that the caretaker federal cabinet had given ascent to the regularization of 227 daily wagers. It was their genuine demand and had been lying pending for years. “I after taking oath as interim Education Minister had directed my office to take up your case and get it done on a fast track,” he said.
By the Grace of Almighty, now all you and your colleagues have been inducted as regular staff and my promise stands fulfilled.
He said that all these daily wagers had already passed the test conducted by the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) and thus they will be regularized in accordance with the judgment of the high court which was also upheld by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Madad Ali said that teachers are the architects of nations and that they should be facilitated in every way so that they could perform their job properly and with peace of mind.
He highlighted his resolve in uplifting the quality of education in the public sector especially in the capital. It is pertinent to mention here that the Caretaker Federal Minister for Education continues to conduct surprise visits to the schools in Islamabad working under the umbrella of the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) for their academic, administrative and infrastructure transformation. This he has been doing uninterruptedly since the first day he took the oath of his office.
He said that resolving the issue of the out of school children was also a top priority and all efforts were being made to ensure that this number is brought down drastically.
Madad Ali Sindhi said that these were critical issues that should be given highest importance.
