Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Islamic Political Party, Syed Mushtaq Hussain, has said that the persecution of innocent Kashmiri Muslims during Muharram processions is a clear example of how brutal India has even snatched religious rights in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Syed Mushtaq Hussain in a statement issued in Islamabad said that oppression and killings by India could not deter the Kashmiris from pursuing their struggle for right to self-determination. Paying tributes to the recently martyred youth, he said the Kashmiri martyrs are the invaluable asset of the freedom struggle and people will continue their mission till its accomplishment.
Syed Mushtaq Hussain said that India was continuing with its nefarious agenda to change the demography of Kashmir and was issuing domicile certificates to extremist Hindus from India as part of the plan. He, however, underlined that New Delhi would never be able to force the Kashmiris into submission.
“No matter what the circumstances, we will never accept India’s sovereignty and its forcible occupation,” he added and maintained that the Kashmiris’ resolve to win freedom from Indian yoke is increasing with every passing day.
He deplored the indifference of the United Nations and international community towards the plight of the Kashmiri people and warned that peace in South Asia could be endangered in case the global community continues to ignore New Delhi’s intransigence over the Kashmir dispute.—KMS
