In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has appealed for peaceful protests after Friday prayers, tomorrow, against the blasphemous act by a BJP leader and hooliganism of cow vigilantes in Jammu region.
The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar, strongly condemning the blasphemous act and beating of two people by cow vigilantes in the Reasi district, termed such acts as reflection of fascist and communal mindset of Hinduvta forces. He said that these forces were doing this under a well-planned strategy to hurt religious sentiments of Muslims in the occupied territory and provoke them to retaliate and then punish them, physically, financially and politically.
“These are not isolated incidents when we see what recently happened in Banglore where after a blasphemous act Muslim population reacted and got punished collectively.
Hundreds of Muslims were arrested and put behind the bars under stringent laws,” he deplored.
The spokesman said India by large has ceased to be a so-called secular or democratic country as under the ideological patronage of RSS and political roadmap of BJP and its other communal and fascist affiliates, it has literally turned into a fascist state where no minority is safe.
Terming these acts highly condemnable and intolerable, the spokesman appealed the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to hold peaceful protests after Friday prayers, tomorrow.—KMS
