Bitcoin slips to $47,714 as selling spree continues

The cryptocurrency market remained bearish on Wednesday for the second straight day, with the market capitalisation falling 4.4 percent to $2.11 trillion as of 1250 hours GMT.

The price of bitcoin (BTC), which topped the $50,000 level for the first time in three months on Monday last, shed 3.06 percent to reach $47,714. With this fall in price, the market capitalisation of the biggest cryptocurrency has slipped to $896.5 billion.

Likewise, ethereum (ETH) price shed 4.96 percent to reach $3,145. With this decrease in price, the market capitalisation of ETH has reached $368.25 billion.— TLTP
