Bilawal mourns lives lost in Tharparkar lightning strikes

Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has expressed profound sorrow over the recent lightning strikes near Nagar Parkar in the Tharparkar district that resulted in multiple fatalities. In a press release from the Media Cell at Bilawal House, he extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and voiced his deep shock and grief over the tragic incident. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized the critical importance of safety measures during the rainy season to prevent such disasters.

He urged the Sindh government to offer comprehensive support to those affected, stressing that citizens vulnerable to climate-induced disasters should not be left to struggle alone.

He also called on civil society to actively raise awareness about climate change and its impacts, highlighting that the frequency of lightning incidents has surged over the past decade due to climate change. Chairman Bilawal reiterated that Pakistan is one of the most severely impacted countries and emphasized the need for unified efforts to address this urgent issue.
