Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday visitedMauripur and Hawke’s Bay areas in the flood-hit western district of the city. He was accompanied by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Provincial Ministers SaeedGhani and NasirHussain Shah, Special Assistants Waqar Mehdi and Rashid Rabbani, MNAs Abdul Qadir Patel and ShahidaRahmani, MPA LiaquatAskani and other leaders.
Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that as a result of recent torrential rains in Sindh, agriculture has been severely damaged and various standing crops, including rice, cotton and sugarcane have been destroyed. “Farmers and small businesses have no resources. People in MirpurKhas, Sanghar, TandoAllahyar, Badin, Tando Muhammad Khan, Umerkot, Tharparkar and other districts also need relief.” Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that in such a situation there was a need to formulate a national policy for non-discriminatory assistance and rehabilitation. Meanwhile, during the PPP chairman’s visit, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah briefed him on development projects by the Sindh government in the western district.
Moreover, during Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s visit to Mauripur and other areas, a large number of workers and people gathered and gave him a hearty welcome.
Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari offered condolences to party leader Dino Jaskani on the demise of his brother Rano Khan Jaskani.
