The residents of Nowpora area of Wagoora in Baramulla district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir staged a protest against the anti-people policies of the authorities.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protesters, carrying empty pots and vessels, expressed their anger against the Public Health Engineering department for failing to provide drinking water to the residents.
The residents in anguish blocked the road to express their anger. “We are being forced to consume contaminated water, which has affected our health,” said a local.
They urged the authorities concerned to look into the matter at an earliest and provide drinking water to the area so that locals may heave a sigh of relief.—KMS
