Muhammad Asim Khichi on Friday assumed charge of the office of Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC).
Director News and Current Affairs Muhammad Tariq Chaudhry briefed the DG PBC about the working of the News Wing, Social Media and Web Desk.
Director Programme Kha-lida Nuzhat and heads of other wings also gave a short briefing to the Director General about the functions of their wings.
Later speaking in a live program, Muhammad Asim Khichi expressed resolve to restore the past glory of the state broadcaster.
The Director General assured to address problems of the PBC employees, expressing commitment to work for their welfare.
