Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Noor- ul- Amin Mengal has said that the artist is an ambassador of peace through which he conveys the message of love and tolerance through his art.
This was stated by him while addressing a function after inaugurating a joint painting exhibition at Punjab Council of Arts (PUCAR) Rawalpindi. The exhibition featured works by Najam Kazmi, Aftab Ahmed Chingizi, Azeem Iqbal, Abdul Rehman Tabani, Asif Hussain, Ashraf Heera, Rehmat Ali, Muhammad Hussain, Aiman Mahmood, Adil Mahmood and Mahmood Ali.
Noor-ul-Amin Mengal said that it is a memorable experience to bring together the works of experienced and young artists at one place and it is a proof that there are renowned artists in every field of art in this country. He said that many famous artists belong to Pothohar region and they have displayed their creativity everywhere.
Commissioner Rawalpindi expressed special interest in calligraphy specimens and said that the old style calligraphy specimens that will be displayed in this exhibition have a unique place in the world and are appreciated. He saw more than 70 paintings and calligraphy by 11 artists in the art gallery and appreciated their creativity.
