The Caretaker Provincial Minister for Tourism, Environment and Climate Change ArshadWali Muhammad held a meeting with the members of the Karachi Astronomers Society (KAS) at his office. Both parties explored collaborative opportunities and discussed the importance of preserving Sindh’s dark skies to plan stargazing events and educational programs with a mission to connect science, nature, and the community and encourage a deeper appreciation for our planets fragile ecosystem through the wonders of the cosmos.
According to the handout, while speaking to the delegation, Minister ArshadWali Muhammad said, I am excited to embark on this journey with KAS to bring Sindh’s magnificent dark skies in the spotlight for our Astro-tourism enthusiasts.
I am confident that our partnership with KAS will bridge the gap between our homeland and the cosmos, he added. Expressing his honor to meet the Minister, the president of Karachi Astronomers Society Mehdi Hussain said that he looks forward to a long and fruitful partnership with the Government of Sindh with the aim to spark a sense of wonder. and responsibility, encouraging the people of Pakistan to protect the beauty of the skies of Sindh for generations to come.
