In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders including Molvi Bashir Irfani, Syed Bashir Andrabi and Khawaja Firdous visited the residence of senior APHC leader, Maulana Abbas Ansari, and expressed condolence with his family on his sad demise.
On this occasion, Hurriyat leaders paid rich tributes to Maulana Abbas Ansari for his sacrifices and services in the ongoing freedom movement.
They said that the deceased had dedicated his life for the welfare of Kashmiri people, freedom movement and propagation of Islam.
They said the death of Maulana Abbas Ansari is no less than a tragedy for the Kashmiri people.
The Hurriyat leaders said that Maulana Ansari endured India’s atrocities, but his did not compromise his stand.
They said the people of Kashmir will continue their peaceful struggle till complete success.
On this occasion, they expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the deceased.
Meanwhile, Referring to the worsening situation in the region, he said that the BJP government in tacit support of the RSS had developed a militia of so-called social activists who were grossly engaged in vicious activities in the region. He said that the attack on the Hurriyat office at Raj Bagh in Srinagar was an open display of this hooliganism by army-backed civil militia.
Terming it as an utter frustration of the Modi regime, he said, such wicked and pre-planned attacks won’t change the reality of the Kashmir issue. Nayeem Ahmad Khan expressed profound grief over the death of former Hurriyat chairman Molvi Abbas Ansari and detained APHC leader Altaf Ahmed Shah.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir National Front during its extraordinary meeting took serious notice of the sad plight of Kashmiri prisoners languishing in different jails outside Kashmir.
The meeting urged the UN and other human rights organizations to play their role to ensure the early release of Nayeem Ahmed Khan and other Hurriyat leaders.—KMS
