All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) has strongly condemned the raids by India-based Enforcement Directorate on the houses of APHC leader Muhammad Iqbal Mir, a religious leader Qazi Yasir and jailed Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir by Indian forces’ personnel.

APHC-AJK Convener Mahmood Ahmed Saghar in a statement issued in Islamabad, denouncing the action, said such moves of the Indian agencies cannot weaken the freedom spirit of the Hurriyat leaders and activists. Mahmood Saghar termed the continued illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders and activists as a serious violation of basic human rights and said the Modi-led fascist Indian government is using the arrests as a weapon to suppress dissent in IIOJK.

He said India will never succeed in its nefarious designs with such cruel measures and urged the United Nations and other international human rights organizations to increase pressure on India for the immediate release of the Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders languishing in different jails of India and the territory.
