In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Anjuman Auqaf of Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, has paid glowing tributes to the renowned saint and scholar of Islam, Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) on his urs.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Anjuman Auqaf in a statement in Srinagar, on behalf of its incarcerated head Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, termed the historic religious, da’wah, preaching and reformative services of Hazrat Mehboob-e-Subhaani (RA) towards Islam as an invaluable and unforgettable asset for the Muslims.
The Anjuman said effects of the great spiritual revolution Hazrat Peeraan-e-Peer (RA) created through his character, deeds, and his sermons of goodness can still be seen and felt around the Islamic world.
The solution to the many problems face by the Muslims today lies solely in following the teachings of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) and our pious predecessors of Islam sincerely in accordance with the instructions of Qur’an and Sunnah, the Anjuman Auqaf said. The Anjuman said that on 9th Rabi-ul-Thani, as a centuries-old tradition, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq would visit the Khanyaar.—KMS
