All railways’ hospitals to be outsourced for better healthcare facilities: Swati

Minister for Railways Azam Khan Swati announced on Wednesday to outsource all railway hospitals under the public-private partnership.

Speaking at the Roadshow for Railway hospitals, Swati assured investors that complete transparency would be ensured in outsourcing the hospitals without compromising on fair system.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health, Dr Faisal Sultan, who was chief guest at the roadshow, welcomed the announcement and said such reforms in the health sector are vital to bring betterment in the health sector.

He said that the scheme of Sehat Insaf Card was widely appreciated and it is being extended all over the country.

All citizens of KP province have been awarded given Sehat Insaf Card, said Dr. Faisal Sultan adding that the citizens can avail treatment facilities at public and private hospitals.

“Pakistan Railways is the oldest and well-experienced institution and Mr Azam Swati has taken an excellent initiative to equip railway hospitals with modern facilities with the participation of private sector,” the SAPM Health noted.
