A Science Exhibition on the theme, “Earth Matters” was inaugurated at AlHuda International School on Tuesday featuring numerous models on the sub-themes of ‘Air Cares,’ ‘Now or Never,’ ‘Waste Wise,’ ‘Slow Flow,’ ‘Green Vibes Only’ and ‘Master the Disaster.’
Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, Joint Secretary Ministry of Education & Professional Training Rafique Tahir were guests of honour on the occasion.
The exhibition is a regular feature of AlHuda focusing on the creativity and critical thinking among the students as well as making them aware of the challenges the world is confronting and how to face and overcome them.
The main motive of the exhibition was to integrate Islamic education with the learning of science and technology. The awesome demonstrations of the scientific models were expected to be meaningful and easily understandable.
The main goal of the Islamic exhibition was achieved by exposing the students towards the holy book of Al-Quran and Al-Hadith through recognition, understanding, contemplation, belief, piety, and noble character building.
The students were given different projects and they used catalytic and environment-friendly processes without hampering nature and utilizing the resources in the best possible way.
The scientific demonstrations included various interesting models such as those on Carbon FootPrints, Microwave Radiations, Minimalism and conversion of waste plastic into GreenHouse for sustainable development.
To add festiveness to the event, the food stalls were also installed to entertain the worthy guests and visitors. According to a press handout, the science exhibition provided a platform for budding scientists to express their talent and to gain confidence.
The innovative demonstrations and thoughtful explanations were given by the participants who impressed the spectators including teachers by their skillful presentations. Respectable Principal Ms. Aliya Asim significantly appreciated the joint efforts of the students and the teachers of the school.
Director AIS, Mr. Atif Iqbal while welcoming the guests highlighted the significant teaching with the motto “Quran for all; in every heart, in every hand” of the students to face the challenges of life in a broader perspective. AlHuda International School he said was an Islamic system with advanced educational streams affiliated with Cambridge University and FBISE.
The school not only focuses on the extraordinary academic results but also on the organization of vast co-curricular activities for the physical and mental nourishment of the students.
