ACP holds condolence reference for Akhtar Jafri

The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organized a condolence reference in memory of former treasurer Akhtar Hussain Jafri at the Haseena Moin Hall. The event saw the participation of notable personalities including Provincial Minister Muhammad Ahmed Shah, Professor Anees Zaidi, Huma Bukhari, Shehryar Zaidi, and others, along with Akhtar Hussain Jafri’s family.

The reference began with Quranic recitation and prayers, followed by heartfelt tributes from attendees. Minister Muhammad Ahmed Shah praised Jafri’s contributions to the institution and emphasized its importance in preserving national culture. Professor Anis Zaidi highlighted the humanitarian aspect of Jafri’s character, while actor Shehryar Zaidi recalled their friendship and Jafri’s willingness to help others.

Huma Bukhari and poet Fatima Hasan remembered Jafri’s exemplary character and the impact he had on people’s lives. Samar Abbas Jafri reflected on Jafri’s humility despite his position of power.

Overall, the event served as a touching tribute to a beloved individual.
