ABAD seeks business-friendly environment for smooth progress

Karachi’s construction sector offers immense potential, needs govt’s constant support: Faisal

 

Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer, Faisal Zahid Malik visited the Association of Builders And Developers of Pakistan (ABAD House) and discussed with them scope and potential in the construction sector.

Construction, he said was a booming business and with the government’s patronage and private sector’s support it can generate huge revenue for the country and also attract investment from within and out of the country.

Earlier, upon his arrival, Chairman of the ABAD Muhammad Hassan Bakshi received Mr Faisal Zahid Malik and briefed him about the mandate, activities and different projects undertaken by the ABAD.

Senior Vice Chairman Syed AfzalHameed, Vice Chairman Tariq Aziz, Chairman SR Ahmed OwaisThanvi, Vice Chairman Hyderabad Sub-Region Abdullah JaanMemon and former Senior-Vice Chairman Ibrahim Habib were also present in the meeting and thanked Mr Faisal Zahid Malik for taking interest in this key sector.

Hassan Bakshi during the meeting emphasized that the construction sector and its stakeholders should come under firm government support to protect against the foreign investment inflow in the near future.

Mr Malik also discussed the role of media and assured support to the ABAD in their endeavours to uplift the economy of the country by generating new jobs and opportunities in the country.

United Arab Emirates (UAE) group of real estate companies has also shown keen interest in the investment of over US 20 billion in Pakistan and with the support of ABAD, he noted.

Mr Malik commended the role of Association of Builders and Developers Pakistan during the past 40 years.

The construction sector has flourished under the untiring and dedicated support of ABAD, he said urging the government to create business-friendly environment and facilitate the builders and developers.
