LAHORE – Aalia Rasheed on Friday tendered her resignation from the role of Director Media and Communication at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Taking to X, previously known as Twitter, Aalia Rasheed confirmed her resignation from the post.
Appointed last October, Aalia Rasheed, a senior sports journalist, took on the responsibilities of Director Media and Communication within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Rasheed made history as the first woman to hold the position of Media Head at the PCB.
The sources said that she tendered her resignation for the personal reasons. However, they said that it is an interference in the media department of the board for the first since change in the main command.
Just two days ago, Pakistan Observer reported that job losses were looming in the PCB as deliberations were underway in this regard. The sources had said that the PCB had decided to undertake a complete overhaul across several of its departments in an effort to enhance its operations.
There are considerations, they said, to completely revamp and reorganize certain divisions within the PCB, which may lead to personnel changes as part of the restructuring process.
