The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon on Thursday chaired a weekly performance review meeting to assess the work of Assistant Commissioners and Magistrates.
The meeting focused on ongoing campaigns and public services to address city challenges.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) also participated in the session, where key issues such as price control, anti-encroachment efforts, and the anti-beggars campaign were discussed.
The DC reviewed the performance of all Assistant Commissioners (ACs) and Magistrates, emphasizing the importance of consistent efforts in these areas.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the briefing on actions against the use of plastic bags. Officials shared updates on measures taken to reduce plastic waste and enforce the ban on its usage across the district. Details of operations against illegal gas refilling stations and unregistered petrol shops were also presented. The district administration has been actively working to curb unsafe practices in these sectors to ensure public safety.
The open-door policy of the district administration was another key topic of discussion. The DC stressed the need for all officers to keep their offices accessible to the public at all times.
