Staff Reporter An evening with famous scriptwriter Anwar Maqsood and humourist Shahzad Sharjeel was arranged by IBL & Searle in collaboration with Arts council. On the occasion, AnwerMaqsood echoed the letters of Ghalib, Daagh and John Elia in his pompous manner and read poetry of Zehra Nigah for the audience. Shahzad Sharjeel presented excerpts from various thematic humours. President Arts council Ahmed Shah said, “In the past there was no organization to promote art and culture, we initiated the move and now Arts Council is going to inaugurate the first fine arts university.” CEO Searle Nadeem Ahmed said that apart from class system, Arts Council provided platform to the people.
