MPA Muhammad Amin Zulqarnain has said that Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has started pro-public development projects instead of self-exhibitory ones like previous government.
He expressed these views during a meeting with CM On Saturday. He thanked him for providing funds for the development of the area adding that the Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has launched unprecedented projects for the progress and development of Lahore city.
He said that the completion of these projects will provide immense facilities to the Lahorites.
The Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that development projects are being devised with the suggestions, proposals and consultation of elected representatives.
Usman Buzdar said that unplanned and self-projected projects were started in some cities including Lahore, in the past, which put an extra burden on the exchequer.
He said that the incumbent government has devised a strategy in order to improve the infrastructure of Lahore city.
Projects like Sheranwala Flyover, Shahkam Chowk Flyover and Gulab Devi Underpass have been launched.
The completion of these projects will solve the traffic problem on a permanent basis and the citizens of Lahore will have access to ample transportation facilities.
Usman Buzdar said that 11 underground water storage tanks are also being set up in Lahore for timely discharge and storage of rainwater.
The project of setting up an Underground water tank on Lawrence Road has been completed while construction work on underground water tanks near Kashmir Road and Sheranwala Gate is underway. He further stated that approval of setting up of water tank at Gaddafi has been granted.
He said that public preferences have been taken into consideration, instead of self-exhibitory projects.
