The police arrested 24 people including two drug peddlers and 22 suspects besides recovering arms, ammunition and narcotics from their possession here on Thursday.
In line with the directives of IGP Muhammad Ahsan Younas, search operation was conducted in Jhangi Syedan, surrounding areas in Noon police station jurisdiction. Supervised by SP Industrial Area Saud Khan, over 90 cops and police officials took part in the search operation. More than 200 houses were searched and hundreds of people were checked.
During operation, two drug pushers and 22 suspects were apprehended besides recovery of a Kalashnikov, 07 pistols, a 12 bore and 2.4 kilogram hashish.IGP Ahsan Younas said that operations were being conducted to curb crimes in the city and elements involved in criminal activities will not be spared at any cost.
