The daily report on Covid-19 situation said on Sunday that eight more patient died lifting the death toll to 3,019 and 2,013 new cases emerged when 12,720 tests were conducted raising the tally to 1,84,486.
12,720 samples were tested which diagnosed 2013 cases that constituted 15.8 percent. So far 2,064,077 tested have been conducted against which 184,486 cases were detected, of them 87 percent or 159,581 patients recovered, including 1014 overnight.
Currently 21,886 patients were under treatment, of them 20,042 were in home isolation, 12 at isolation centers and 861 at different hospitals. He added that the condition of 769 patients was stated to be critical, including 82 shifted to ventilators.
Out of 2013 new cases, 1,594 have been detected from Karachi; 675 from East, 365 South, 250 central, 165 Korangi, 98 Malir and West 41. Hyderabad has 99 cases, Tando Muhammad Khan 37, Badin 34, Shaheed Benazirabad 32, Jamshoro 20, Naushehroferoze 16, Larkana and Ghotkhi 14 each, Mirpurkhas 13, Matiari 12, Umerkot 11, Thatta and Sujawal eight each, Sukkur seven, Jacobabad six, Daddu and Kambhar five each, Tando Allahyar four, Khairpur three, Khasmore, Sanghar and Shikarpur two each.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has urged people of the province to abide by the SOP issued by the government.
