Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that terrorist incidents had taken place in Karachi in the past but Sindh Police, Pak Army and Rangers together made it possible to restore law and order in Karachi city. He said that the establishment of Sindh Safe City Authority was given a lot of consideration in the meetings of the Apex Committee and finally after a few years the establishment of Sindh Safe City Authority came into effect and in this regard it was also approved by the Cabinet. It must have been delayed, but it should be said that it was too late. He said that orders were given by the Supreme Court to install 10,000 cameras in Karachi and fulfilling their orders, NRTC and Sindh Police jointly signed MoU for the project of installing 10,000 cameras in the city. Doing that is a welcome thing. Later, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed under the auspices of Sindh Safe Cities Authority for the installation of 10,000 cameras in Karachi.
